Created in 2025, Photo-art paris is an initiative dedicated to fine art contemporary photography and associated visual practices.

The project offers artists a framework forexhibition structured and professional, distinct from the logic of calls for projects or purely institutional selection, in order to give priority to artistic coherence and the quality of the approaches presented.

The first edition brings together a selection of 13 photographers and 4 sculptors, chosen for the strength and consistency of their work.

Photo-art paris in a reflection on the place of art photography in the devices ofexhibition and on the visibility conditions of artists.

PROMOTION

In a constantly changing cultural context, Photo-art paris strives to defend photography and visual arts as fields of research, dialogue and production of meaning.

The 2026 edition brings together artists from diverse backgrounds, whose approaches converge around a formal requirement and a critical reading of the contemporary world.

The objective is to provide a structured space of professional visibility and exchange for artists, while providing the public with direct access to the diversity of current photographic practices.

Each artist has a dedicated space allowing the presentation of a complete series, up to eight works in limited circulation.

This format promotes a thorough reading of artistic approaches and ensures a balanced presentation of the different worlds presented.

Photo-art paris is part of an annual rendezvous logic, aimed at gradually structuring a meeting space between artists, collectors and actors of the art world.

Commissioner expo

Claude Riou, photographer and artist-author, is the artistic director of Photo-art paris and chairs the association.

His approach to contemporary photography is part of a desire to cross practices from a variety of backgrounds, focusing on the coherence of approaches and the quality of artistic proposals.

The selection of artists is the result of a work of identification and encounters carried out within the field of contemporary photography and visual arts.
