Alexandre discovered photography during his youth in São Paulo, where he immortalized urban landscapes with a simple disposable device. His travels then became his real school. After a doctorate in language science and a few years of teaching, he decided to devote himself fully to photography. His research into the emotional staging of television newspapers led to turning away from the pathos to capture the silent beauty of the world. Fascinated by the temporality of the photo, brief to the catch but flexible to the observation, it creates timeless landscapes almost independent of the human presence. Passionate about art, including Land Art and abstract painting, he travels the world to grasp the natural wonders in motion. He is represented by galleries in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Brazil, exhibited internationally and has won many professional awards.
